The will of God is beyond our comprehension. We cannot understand why God does all that He does. But no matter where our minds go with questions of why this and why that Lord, it is not up to us to question what God is in charge of. Everyone has their own wilderness to wander, and a Red Sea to divide and cross. But the cloud of the Lord is still over us by day, and His fire still guides us by night. It may not be visible as it was in the days of Moses, but in a different way God is still guiding us. David said; “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say on the Lord.” Psalm 27:14. Exodus 13:22 says; “He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.” No matter how much His people murmured or complained in the wilderness, the LORD was still there to guide them.
The Word says; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not onto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
The will of God is put in place in each one of our lives for a reason. It may be to keep us from harm, it may be to better our circumstances, it could be to keep us from falling into the enemy’s snare, or the timing is just where He wants it to be. If our prayers aren’t answered the way we were hoping, it isn’t because God wasn’t listening or didn’t care about that prayer; but it could be for the benefit of the person involved.
He knows each one of our coming and going, and where we are going to end up with it all. Only He can see in the future. And if he wills that someone should not receive the prayers being prayed for a specific thing, it is because our Creator and Father knows best.
No matter how painful things may end up later on; we must know that God was in control of the whole thing and that He knows the foremost outcome of the entire scenario and does what He feels is right for that situation. Abba is in control of everything. If we lose someone from death, or from being removed from our lives to never speak again, or if we don’t get what we ask for; it is up to us to accept the choice God made for that particular situation and allow the will of God to move us in another direction. A chapter has closed and He wills for something better to be placed in the empty spot that was moved.
We may ask for something that we feel is for our good, and we feel is is to satisfy our desires or needs; but God seeing what that could mean for us in the future may prevent us from receiving it because He can see how it will affect us later on. And if He knows it is not good for us, He will say NO. Not in a mean or spiteful way, but in a loving and caring Fatherly way.
Not answering a prayer we send to Him could be the best thing for us. To save us from our own lustful heart, or from our own carnal frame of thinking. If God wants us to prosper, He must be able to do His will for us. For He says; “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11.
This end no matter however it may be, is the end that the LORD our God has planned for us. All we can do is cooperate with Him and allow His will to be done. But if we decide not to cooperate with His will, there is nothing He can do to help us.
His mercy is so above our expectations that we cannot fathom how much mercy is poured upon us daily. And being that we are so caught up in our own lives we live, we forget to give thanks for all that He has given us. If His mercy is to allow people to leave us in different ways, we know that He knows it was for the good of that person or for us. There might have been some long term suffering; there may have been some serious heartbreaking, there might have been deceitful plans to hurt someone else. God knows the heart of all of His children. And He knows how to guide them in the way that they must go.
Today we are living in the final days of this earth’s history. We can see it all around us. And as the Word says, there will be a time of trouble such as never been since the earth began.
If we lose a loved one from death, we are guaranteed this; “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, write this: Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.” Revelation 14:13. And; “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the older order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 And; “He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3. “Blesses are those that mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4.
If we lose someone from disconnection, we are promised this; “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18. And “And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.” “Wealth adds many friends, but a poor man is separated from his friend.” Proverbs 19:4. “A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24. “Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.” Psalm 41:9
Matthew 5:30. But; “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13.
God’s divine plan for us is forever. Whether we accept it or not. We are all in His divine plan for our lives. We must allow God’s will to direct us and guide us to His purpose. We must cooperate with the will of our Father that whatever His plan is for us will glorify Him.
Give glory to God, for His will and His purpose is to give us a good end.
“Your life is precious in the sight of God. He has a work for you to do. It is not unfolded to you now, but just walk on trustingly without a single word because this would grieve the dear Jesus and show that you were afraid to trust Him. Lay your hand in His. He is reaching over the battlements of heaven for it to be laid confidingly in His. Oh what love, what tender love has Jesus manifested in our behalf. The Bible promises are the pinks and the roses and the lilies in the garden of the Lord.” Ellen White
“I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Everyday I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.” Psalm 145:1
