"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6
I said a prayer for you today:
I know God must have heard; I felt the answer in my heart, though He uttered not a word. I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind); I asked for priceless treasures rare, of a more lasting kind. I prayed that He'd be near to you, at the start of each new day. To grant you health and blessings fair, and friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small. But that you'd know His loving care, I prayed for most of all.

In Thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in Thy righteousness. Psalm 31:1
Trust in God can never lead to shame – that is a definite. If anything, trusting in God and choosing to be in line with his guidance will help us avoid a great deal of self-inflicted shame. As God's children, righteous in Christ Jesus, we can walk with assurance because our Father has ordered our steps. This gives us the strength to endure anything that comes our way.
Dear God, I have put all my trust in you and I am at rest because I know that you always have my best concerns at heart. I am saved because of your love; there is nothing on this earth that can shake my salvation. In times where my trust is tested, Lord I ask that you help me remain fixed on you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
3 Steps to Christ
Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto His disciples, "If any man will come after me, let him,
1Deny himself
To deny self is to surrender our earthly possessions and deny earthly comforts to bring comfort to someone else. Or, putting ourself out to help someone else.
Serving God is a choice. We must make the decision of who we are going to deny. This world or Christ. Those who deny Christ are choosing self, Satan's way.
Christ will deny us if we deny Him.
2And take up his cross
Taking up the cross is an attitude of life.
We are to serve Christ and live our life for Him. As we serve others, we should do so as Christ gave His life up for us, out of love, willingly, sacrificial, as a sweet smelling savor. We should expect to live a life of persecution and be willing to die for Christ, if necessary. He died for us.
3And follow Me
When we follow someone, it means that someone is leading. When we let Christ lead, we will lose a lot of things. Families will reject us, friends will no longer be our friends. We can expect to be treated no better than Jesus was treated. BUT! We shall receive an hundredfold more in this life and the next than what we gave up to follow Christ in this life. We will be joint heirs with Him. We will be partakers of His divine nature. Following Him now, we shall follow Him through all eternity.
Only by doing the first 2 steps can we truly follow Christ.

What is the Blessed Hope?
The coming of Christ is to be a joyful theme. We should allow that to fill all of the chambers of our souls with gladness.
Revelation 21:3-4 says; "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Those who obey the commandments of God, and follow the gospel of Christ, will see the coming of Christ as a glorious event in the skies. It says in Revelation 22:14; "Blessed are they that DO His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Christians who follow Christ withersoever He goes, should not only look for the appearing of Christ, but they should love to contemplate it.
Our hopes are set before us in the Scritptures, but the Hope of the coming of Christ is the crowning hope of all, in that it ushers in all other hopes. The coming of Christ is the consummation of the Christian's hope; the event which changes the Christian's experience from mortality to immortality, from the sorrows, labors, privations, and agonies of the present life to the joys and everlasting felicities of the life to come.

Preserve The Body Temple
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16
God has given you a habitation to care for and preserve in the best condition for His service and glory. Your bodies are not your own..."Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"
Health is a blessing of which few appreciate and value... life is a holy trust, which God alone can enable us to keep, and to use to His glory. But He who formed the wonderful structure of the body will take special care to keep it in order if men do not work at cross-purposes with Him. Every talent entrusted to us He will help us to improve and use in accordance to the will of the Giver.
Youth is the time to establish good habits, to correct wrong ones already contracted, to gain and to hold the power of self-control, and to lay the plan, and accustom one's self to practice of ordering all the acts of life with reference to the will of God.
The sacred temple of the body must be kept pure and uncontaminated, that God's Holy Spirit may dwell therein. We need to guard faithfully the Lord's property, for any abuse of our powers shortens the time that our lives could be used for the glory of God. Bear in mind that we must consecrate all- soul, body, and spirit to God. All is His purchased possession, and must be used intelligently, to the end that we may preserve the talen of life. By properly using our powers to their fullest extent in the most useful emplyment, by keeping every organ in health, by so preserving every organ that mind, sinew, and muscle shall work harmoniously, we may do the most precious service for God.
When we do all we can on our part to have health, then may we expect that the blessed results will follow, and we can ask God in faith to bless our efforts for the preservation of health.
My Life Today. Ellen G White
Being rooted and grounded in Christ.
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17."I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it's is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." John 15:5.
Father in Heaven, I pray that we as your people will stay rooted and grounded in your love and in your truth. Jesus said; sanctify them through your truth: for your Word is truth. I pray that we continue to follow you until the end of all things. And when Jesus comes, we will stand before Him without shame knowing we shall reign with Him in your kingdom. Thank you for giving us your gifts, promises and blessings each day you give us. I pray for Your Spirit to dwell with us each day we are allowed.
In Jesus name Amen.
But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. Psalm 5:11
Faith in God and love for God naturally go with joy of spirit. Christians will have troubles in life like anyone else and may even be persecuted for their faith, but there is still a deep, inner joy that nothing can destroy. It is the joy of knowing that we belong to God as his children, that He is ever watching over us for good, and that we will spend eternity in his presence.
Lord, you are the giver of true joy. The world has its so-called joy that is merely based on being in presently favorable circumstances. We have a joy based on a relationship with you that can never change. In good times, we rejoice in your gift; in dark times, may our joy shine all the brighter, that the world may wonder and be drawn to your light. Amen.
"I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD"
"WHOSOEVER FOLLOWS ME WILL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT WILL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE."
JOHN 8:12
Jesus is the light of the world.
When Jesus came to the earth, He was the light which was sent to us. His Word; the Bible is our light and His people who follow Him are to be a light unto the world for those who are in darkness. Since He is not here physically now, we must finish His work of sharing the gospel to those who need to know of the gift of salvation.
Don’t be afraid to spread the news of God’s gift of love for us. Let your light so shine and don’t hide your light under a basket.View more details...After Surrender - What?
"I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do." John 17:4
Surrender is not the surrender of the external life, but of the will; when that is done all is done. There are very few crises in life; the great crisis is the surrender of the will. God never crushes a man's will into surrender, He never beseeches him, He waits until the man yields up his will to Him. That battle never needs to be re-fought.
Surrender for Deliverance. "Come unto Me and I will give you rest." It is after we have begun to experience what salvation means that we surrender our wills to Jesus for rest. Whatever is perplexing heart or mind is a call to the will ~ "Come unto Me." It is a voluntary coming.
Surrender for Devotion. "If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself." The surrender here is of my self to Jesus, my self with His rest at the heart of it. "If you would be My disciple, give up your right to yourself to Me." Then the remainder of the life is nothing but the manifestation of this surrender. When once the surrender has taken place we never need "suppose" anything. We do not need to care what our circumstances are, Jesus is amply sufficient.
Surrender for Death. John 21:18-19. ". . . another shall gird thee." Have you learned what it means to be bound for death? Beware of a surrender which you make to God in an ecstasy; you are apt to take it back again. It is a question of being united with Jesus in His death until nothing ever appeals to you that did not appeal to Him.
After surrender - what? The whole of the life after surrender is an aspiration for unbroken communion with God.
My Utmost For His Highest ~ Oswald Chambers
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
We cannot appreciate the magnitude of God's gift of eternal life until we first understand that the wages of sin is death. Wages are what we "earned, " what we "deserve. " "Death" is not only physical death, here, but spiritual and eternal death. Our sin was an offense to the infinitely holy God, and thus justly deserved eternal punishment. But God's grace, which was greater than all our sin, brings us eternal life instead.
Lord, help us to see that your punishment for sin is just and to sense something of the true heinousness of sin. Help us to appreciate more fully how much we were forgiven, and having been forgiven much, to love much. Amen.
.The Lost Soul
Lamenting, she cries; “Why was I born! Why am I even here, but to only take up space and be a waste of air!” Her tears burning her face, her throat parched from whaling in her torment. Her face to the floor and her body in fetal position, she continues to lament in agony. “Everything I have done has been a failure! I can’t do anything right! I am nothing but a plague to this earth! Why am I even here!” She can feel her body convulsing in agony, and her head pounding from the fierceness of her cries. Her eyes swelling up more and more, and her ears ringing loudly. “I just want to die. Let me die. Let me just become the dirt that I am in this world. I have no friends, no one to love me, no one cares anyway, I wouldn’t be missed.”
As she lays upon the ground, she opens her eyes, and sees two naked feet standing in front of her. She wipes the puddle of tears from her eyes to try to focus on them. There was something on them that caught her attention. Pushing herself up, she strains to see the discoloration on the top of them. “What is this?” She chokes out of her course throat. As her vision clears, she sees what looks to be holes on the top of these feet. Not looking up, she begins to inquire. “What happened to you! Who did this to you?” The person belonging to these naked feet, sat down in front of her. “Look” came a soft yet stout voice before her as he held out his hands. Raising her head to look, she saw the same discoloration on the hands held out before her. Gasping she asks, “How could this have happened? Who did this to you?”
Continuing to wipe her face from the waterfall of tears from earlier, she then reaches for the hands before her then quickly pulled away. “Touch them,” Came the voice before her. Again she reached forward to touch the hands that had been pierced. Her finger slipping into the hole of one of the hands she jerked back in fear. “Who could do such a thing like this? How cruel!”
Burying her face in her hands she began to weep again. But this time it wasn’t about her own miserable state of self as before. This time, she couldn’t believe someone would walk around with such a serious injury to his hands and feet and would show them off like that.
Then she felt his hand lay gently upon her head and said compassionately. “These are for you.”
“What?” She said surprisingly. “I gave Myself a sacrifice for you. These are my scars I took for you.” Finally looking up to see the face of the one who showed her of his terrible injury. He was glowing like the moon at night. But she could see still the silhouette of his features.
“I formed you in your mothers womb, I shaped you and molded you. I gave you breath to live. You are mine. Do not fear or be saddened. Though this world sees you not, I am with you always. I have heard your cry, you are My purpose, My plan. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Come unto me, you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I have bought you with a price:” He said as He held out his hands to her again.
“Why would you give your life for me? I am no one, nothing, I am just a waste of space and air.” She began to cry again, but this time His voice calmed her beyond what she had ever known. “You are my creation. I formed you. I knew your name before you were born. I have plans for you. Plans to prosper you, not to hurt you. You are in My space, you breathe My air. I freely gave it to you. I chose you for My purpose. I knock at the door of your heart. Open unto Me and I will come in and be with you always, even unto the end of the world. Be not troubled, nor dismayed, for I am your Saviour. Do you believe Me?”
She took His hand and kissed it, and caressed it to her face as if it were a precious stone. “I believe.” She stated, as her warm tears bathed His scarred hand. “I believe.” Her hands held her face again as she wept. But her weeping was for Joy that someone would sacrifice Himself for her. The feeling of despair left her. Her heart filled with Joy and peace like she’d never felt before. “Thank you.” She said in a whisper.
Waking up, she sat straight up and looked around to find herself alone in the room. Where was this beautiful man she saw before her? Was it just a dream? Taking in a deep breath, she knew it was real, for her heart was changed and she now only felt peace, and not the agony of despair. She felt she was worth something. Now she has HOPE! HOPE in the everlasting Love of Christ.
Oh blessed Saviour who has redeemed us to Himself. Who has a purpose for us. Who will never leave nor forsake us. No matter how low we feel about ourselves, we belong to HIm. He gave Himself as a sacrifice to make sure we know how much we mean to Him. What a price to pay. More than any element here on this earth. We are rich! Because we belong to the Most High God. Amen.
Father in heaven,
So many of your people are lost, feel lost, have no hope for life. So many people feel that they are not even there, or that they have allowed horrible things to happen to themselves. Father the enemy makes his tracks in their lives and leaves such a scar in their lives that they feel beyond repair. I pray that they will just seek you out. We pray they will just call in desperation unto you and allow you to show that you are there. That you long for them to call upon you for help. Those who feel as though there is no hope and that they should give up on life, We pray that you will just knock on the door of their heart that they can hear your loving voice say "I am here my child." Oh Father. I pray that as you hear their cries, that you will listen and will be quick to answer. We pray they ask for forgiveness of sins and ask that the Saviour will enter in and be their living spring of water that overflows hearts with joy and peace and love. That there is hope. The Hope of glory. Father have mercy upon the lost and the abandoned and the rejected and the lonely. And give them your grace and mercy of love in abundance I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
"If i justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me; if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life." Job 9:20,21
He Left the Courts of Heaven
And came to the world, all seared and marred and polluted with sin; He practiced self-denial and self-sacrifice, descending lower and lower in the path of humiliation, that we might be enriched and exalted. Rich in houses and land, in worldly honor?--No, but that we might have all heaven's imperishable treasures, an eternal weight of glory. "If thou knewest the gift of God." Oh, if the deceptive, bewitching power of satan were only resisted, blinded eyes would be opened, unbelieving hearts would be made to perceive, and unsaved souls would have a knowledge of the unspeakable gift, and would press to the throne of grace with importunate prayer, entreating that they might drink of the living water. God is willing to impart to men the knowledge of His gift. Jesus is "to give the knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring form on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." "If thou newest the gift of God."
Ellen G. White
If thou knewest the gift of God.
Father,
We pray that you open the hearts and minds of your people to show them the wonderful gift. We pray that the enemy will be resisted that he will flee form their sight, and the hearts of your people will be open to what Jesus has done for them. The unimaginable gift of everlasting life that is only a heart beat away. We pray that hearts will be willing to open to your precarious gift of salvation and realize that this world is only temporal with all that is in it. But that life eternal is the richest hope of Today. Right now is the time to accept this gift. For it is better than any worldly gift that could ever be given. For the worldly gifts never last long, but your gift is what promises the eternal future. Father, please have mercy on souls today that need your promises and your gifts. Allow them to see how wonderful your gift through our Saviour is and how everlasting it is. For this world shall pass away and all that is in it. But you are forever and ever and that your promises never are broken. Your gifts are everlasting forever more. Thank you for your only begotten Son and our Saviour Jesus Christ who have done all for us. Even to die a horrible death and to be horribly persecuted that we may live with you forever. And in His name we pray these things.
Amen.
Satan Delights in war…
Through Spiritualism, satan appears as a benefactor of the race, healing the diseases of the people, and professing to present a new and more exalted system of religious faith; But at the same time he works as a destroyer. His temptations are leading multitudes to ruin. In temperance dethrones reason; Central indulgence, Strife, and bloodshed follow. satan delights in war; For it excites the worst passions of the soul, and then sweeps into eternity it's victims steeped in vice and blood. It is his object to entice the nations to war against one another; For he can thus divert the minds of the people from the work of preparation to stand in the day of God. For he can thus divert the minds of the people from the work of preparation to stand in the day of God.
Satan works through the elements also to Garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows. When he was suffered to afflict Job, how quickly flocks and herds, servants, houses, children, were swept away, one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. It is God that shields his creatures, and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world has shown contempt for the law of Jehovah; And the Lord doesn't just what he has declared that he would do, he withdraws his blessings from the Earth coma and removes his protecting care from those who are rebelling against his law, and teaching and forcing others to do the same.
Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. He will favor and prosper some in order to further his own designs, and he will bring trouble upon others, and lead men to believe that it is God who is afflicting them. While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their melodies, he (Satan) will bring disease and disaster until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hail storms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, is satan exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perished by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon the inhabitants of the world. The beasts of the field will grown, and the Earth will languish. And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils." Ellen G. White 1884
Father, we pray for those that are in the military and are pulled from their families to fight or to be mediators in foreign countries. We pray you will keep them safe and protect them from all harm. Physically, mentally and spiritually. We know that the devil is a liar and the father of it. We know that he delights in war. He was the first one to make war in heaven. Then he came here and made war on all of your children because of his deciet and hate for those who chose to follow You and follow Jesus. We know that he does all he can to pull your people from your sight and use violence against others to where hate grows in their hearts toward mankind. Please Father, let them see how dangerous the enemy is and how they need not put themselves in such harms way. So many say that if it weren't for our military, our country wouldn't be free. But they don't realize that we aren't free anyway. For we are slaves to the governments of this country. So foreign wars have no means of resolve for anything. Our country is the beast that comes out of the sea. I pray that your truth will come out to those who feel that they need to protect this country from foreign wars. Because there wouldn't be any wars if this country wasn't so wicked in the first place. In Jesus name Amen.
Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1 Corinthians 15:24
A day is coming where Christ will return and squash the enemy and all who chose to follow him. Satan will finally receive what his due, and the kingdom will be given to God, the Father. A new time will arrive in which there will be no sin, no sorrow, no pain, and no death.
Dear God, We thank you that the thought of Christ returning is a cause to celebrate and not to fear. Father, I am so grateful that on that day, We will be part of those who are on your side. We pray that more and more people will surrender their lives to you, in this time, Lord, so that they can celebrate the coming of Christ too. In Jesus' name, We pray. Amen.
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
When Illness Slows you Down
Yesterday's dead,
Tomorrow's unborn,
So there's nothing to fear
And nothing to mourn,
For all that is past
And all that has been
Can never return
To be lived once again--
And what lies ahead
Or the things that will be
Are still in GOD'S HANDS
So it is not up to me
To live in the future
That is God's great unknown,
For the past and the present
God claims for His own.
So all I need to do
Is to live for TODAY
An trust God to show me
THE TRUTH AND THE WAY
For it's only the memory
Of things that have been
And expecting tomorrow
To bring trouble again
That fills my today,
Which God wants to bless,
With uncertain fears
And borrowed distress--
For all I need live for
Is this one little minute,
For live's HERE and NOW
And ETERNITY'S in it.

God Can and Will Answer Prayers
All things happen for good to those who believe
John 15:7
"If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."
When we find ourselves in trouble or in a situation that is overwhelming. As the Word says, Don't worry about anything, but instead pray about everything. God will be faithful to answer you when you follow Him.
Mark 11:24
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Have faith in our Maker that He will give you the desires of you heart, if it is according to His will. Don't ask for fancy cars, or a big house or money. But ask for wisdom, ask for necessities, ask for discernment, ask for things you need. For nothing is impossible with God. All things are possible to those who believe.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:25
Men are prone to worry over many things, over how we will get clothes to put on, food and drink, housing, or medical care. We may worry sometimes over the possibility of losing our lives. But Jesus teaches us that worry is foolish because we cannot solve anything by worrying about it; and that worry is sinful, because it shows distrust of God.
O God my Provider, you are always there to supply all of my needs. You are the Good Shepherd of my soul who takes close care of his sheep and who laid down his very life for his sheep. We know that you will provide all our true needs and that, very often, you provide even beyond that and grant us gifts to enjoy that are not strictly needs. You, our Father, always take good care of us. Amen.
Hebrews 11:6
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."
Seek the Lord with all your heart, and He will dirct your path. God is the only way to get anywhere. Without Him we are nothing. He is our creator, and He is our Father. Go to Him as you would your earthly dad. He will listen and will give you what you need.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
We aren't meant to live a life of excess. While it is good to have wealth and material possessions, we should rather commit these things to helping those who are in need instead of accumulating things we know we won't use. Giving is part of being a Christian and it is always best to give to those who are in need. Your life will serve as an example to others on how to live in moderation.
Dear God, I pray that as I live my life as a Christian, as your child, may I never have selfishness as a priority in my life. Help me to be selfless in all my ways, O Lord, so I may be an example of you to your children. You set the standard first, O God, and I ask that you help me to walk in this standard. There is no way I can do it in my own actions or power. I thank you, Father, for this great faithfulness. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
"Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, they manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it." Ex. 20:8-11.
In this commandment there are two things - the Sabbath day and the Sabbath command. The Sabbath day is the seventh day; the Sabbath command is to "Remember" the day "To keep it holy." We keep the Sabbath command all the week (if at all), and the Sabbath day at the end of the week. In other words, we are to "Remember the Sabbath day" all through the week, lay our plans and make all our arrangements and appointments with reference to it, so that we shall be ready for, and prepared to enter upon, its sacred rest when it comes. W. A. McCutchen 1907
Father, I pray that Your people, Your creations from all forms of life, religion, and walks, will realize that Your Sabbath wasn't changed from the seventh day by You or by Jesus or by anyone in the Bible, Old or New Testament. But that man in their own submission to self indulgence changed Your holy day to the first day of the week, and has convinced men and women of all ages to worship on mans day, Sunday. I pray that soon their eyes will be opened to the truth of Your Word becuase as Jesus said; "Sanctify them by Thy truth, Thy Word is truth." Please Father allow us to show in some way that the blinders are over their eyes, and they need to be removed. Your holy day You have sanctified. You wrote it on tablets of stone with Your finger. Father give us the power of Your Spirit to give the truth in its whole form. I pray in Jesus name Amen.
